Introducing SalesHUD: Real-time guidance for every sales call

·5 min read

Today we're launching SalesHUD in beta. After months of working with pilot users, we're ready to share why we built a real-time HUD overlay instead of another post-call analytics tool. The biggest problem? Calls end with "I'll circle back" instead of booked next steps—leading to stalled deals and unreliable forecasts.

The problem we kept hearing

Every sales leader we talked to had the same complaint: deals stalling in "no decision" territory. Calls would feel productive but end with vague next steps—"send me some info," "let me think about it," "we'll reconnect soon." By the time you followed up, the momentum was gone. The root issue? Wrap-up drift detection: reps fail to lock commitment before hang-up.

Reps would forget to ask key qualification questions. They'd freeze when hit with objections they'd been trained to handle. They'd miss signals that should have triggered a specific talk track. And worst of all, they'd end calls with messy notes and forgotten follow-ups.

The root cause? The gap between what reps know and what they remember in the moment.

Post-call tools don't solve this

Most sales tools analyze calls after they happen. They'll tell you what went wrong, where the rep deviated from the script, which objections they fumbled. That's useful for coaching, but it doesn't help the rep who's on a call right now.

We realized the real opportunity wasn't better analytics—it was better execution. What if your playbook could surface exactly when you needed it, automatically, without you having to remember to reference it?

Why a HUD overlay

We chose the HUD (heads-up display) format deliberately. Think of it like a fighter pilot's HUD: critical information overlaid on your field of view, non-intrusive but immediately accessible.

SalesHUD sits alongside your meeting window (works with Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams). It listens to the conversation in real-time, retrieves relevant context from your playbooks and CRM, and surfaces:

  • Next-best questions based on what's been discussed
  • Objection responses the moment a concern is raised
  • Deal context from uploaded playbooks and pasted deal briefs
  • Structured notes that auto-populate as the call progresses

It's guidance in the moment, not feedback after the fact. Learn how it works →

What we learned from pilot users

Over the past three months, we've worked closely with early customers across SDR teams, AE demos, and renewal calls. A few things surprised us:

1. Reps wanted lightweight cues, not scripts. We initially showed full talk tracks, but reps found them distracting. They wanted prompts—just enough to jog their memory without reading from a teleprompter.

2. Managers loved the consistency. Before SalesHUD, enforcing playbook adherence was impossible. Now they can see (and coach on) whether reps are hitting the key beats.

3. Note-taking was the killer feature. We built SalesHUD for guidance, but the auto-generated notes ended up being just as valuable. Reps stopped scrambling to capture action items and could focus entirely on the conversation.

What's next

We're opening up beta access gradually. If you're a Head of Sales, RevOps leader, or founder doing your own sales, we'd love to show you a demo.

Our roadmap includes deeper CRM integrations (HubSpot and Salesforce are on the roadmap), team playbook templates, and more sophisticated contextual retrieval. But the core mission stays the same: help reps execute consistently, in real-time, on every call. See all use cases →
